Founded in 2005 - we are a boutique firm of highly seasoned recruiting, talent acquisition and strategy experts. The name? It’s a combination of the founder’s middle name and the name of his first child. It sounds great, and it stuck!
Our managing directors have backgrounds as sales and consulting leaders in the software and consulting industries prior to executive recruiting and TA consulting. We have tremendously deep domain experience. We are hiring managers and have built teams from the ground up. We immerse ourselves in our clients’ organization; allowing us to create the infrastructure, process, and strategy required to hire game changing talent – and we deliver.
Our goal was to disrupt the recruiting industry, which is littered with low-integrity resume flippers and RPO firms that provide rent-a-recruiter services adding no real business value. In addition, too many internal TA teams are entry level and lack business acumen to influence and impact real business strategy. We saw a tremendous opportunity for a recruiting partner to lead from the front.
Our team has been with WSG from the beginning, and share the same goal to change how a recruiting and TA consulting firm engages with a client. We become a part of our client’s organizational leadership. We understand transformation, and how to hire and cultivate talent that executes business objectives versus ‘filling a role’.

Todd is the founder and CEO of William Sage Group. After a successful career as a sales executive and leader, he embarked on a mission to consult start-up organizations on how to build the right teams to execute against strategic business outcomes.
Prior to founding WSG, Todd had a successful career as a sales and operational leader for several established and start-up organizations such as Hyperion, Xcellenet, Vericept, Oracle, SBC Global, and Newmerix. Todd was consistently the number one revenue generating rep, focused on new business clients. He went on to build sales and consulting teams that understood how to solve real business issues through technology and solution consulting. Passionate and entrepreneurial, Todd wanted to consult organizations on how to build teams that executed against real business outcome objectives and recognized the importance of hiring the right people to do so.
Personally, Todd loves spending time with his wife and three children. He is passionate about helping individuals with special needs, neurodiversity, and creating level playing fields for all individuals to pursue opportunity. He is a vintage guitar guy, vintage car and tractor guy, wine and whiskey explorer, and hockey player/coach. Born and raised in the Midwest with a priority on family, faith, work ethic, the pursuit of happiness, and serving others to help them reach their full potential.
Craig is a Managing Director at WSG. He was part of the founding team, and has been a critical part of WSG since 2005. Craig specializes in Exec Search, organizational talent assessment, GTM and consulting recruiting, RPP, and leadership consulting. He and his teams build organizations from the ground up for WSG clients including Visier, Platfora, SAS, Oracle, IQVIA, and Trinity Health.
Prior to joining WSG, Craig spent 10+ years consulting in financial services and IT spearheading growth strategy and execution. A mission critical consultant, exec level recruiter, and leader - Craig is a true competitive advantage to WSG clients. He has led dynamic recruiting teams and excels in candidate attraction and experience. He has personally placed thousands of ‘A’ players from C level on down, and establishes recruiting processes that deliver for the business.
Personally, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending Michigan State tailgates, honing his golf game, perfecting the next great barbeque recipe (he’s an expert with the smoker), mastering a new pizza oven, and traveling.
David Pearson joined William Sage Group, Inc. in 2010 as a Managing Director specializing in Exec Search, GTM recruiting, Product recruiting, Operational Talent Consulting, RPP, and Leadership consulting. David runs projects, consults on talent and recruiting strategy, and owns high level business critical growth engagements for our clients. He is a true competitive advantage to our clients.
Prior to joining William Sage Group, David ran sales teams in the manufacturing industry growing revenues by 560%. He then spent 10 years as a Senior Executive Recruiting Partner responsible for full life cycle Recruiting and Business Development. He partnered closely in exec and retained search engagements across a wide range of industries. He has experience at Business Objects/SAP, Hewlett Packard, Hitachi Data Systems. David has deep domain experience building teams in Health & Life Sciences, Financial Services, Government (Federal and State & Local), Oil & Gas, High Tech Manufacturing, and Retail – for both well established and start-up organizations.
David graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Southern California and now calls Arizona home. In his spare time, he loves traveling, hunting, hiking, and trying to play golf. David is passionate about his family, the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders, and USC Trojan Football.
David is a Managing Director with William Sage Group. He is a project lead, business consultant, executive recruiter, RPP lead, and sourcing expert. In his 17 years of experience he has worked with a broad range of software, technology, consulting, manufacturing, healthcare, and retail firms. He becomes a critical component of ELT growth initiatives at both large multi-billion-dollar global organizations to smaller partner organizations and independent software vendors.
David joined William Sage Group to contribute his multi-faceted talent acquisition background to the overall growth of the organization. Focused on talent assessment, profile creation, repeatable recruiting process, and exec level search expertise – David becomes a mission critical component of our client’s strategy leading RPP design and engagement. David also leads technology assessment projects and business development for WSG.
Personally, David enjoys cheering on his twin daughter’s basketball team and spending time with his wife and two dogs on the trails. Staying physically active with yoga, weightlifting, and long-distance backpacking keeps him mentally sharp and focused on delivering the best possible candidate and client experiences.
Jim is a Managing Director with William Sage Group and joined the company in 2010. He is a project lead, business consultant, executive recruiter, RPP lead, and sourcing expert – focused on technical sales, engineering, product management, and leadership roles. Jim runs technical talent assessment and recruiting projects and is an expert in diverse sourcing and recruiting strategies that yield market leading passive talent. Prior to WSG, Jim had a successful career in presales, consulting, and solution engineering. He has built and lead teams, and understands the uniqueness of a sales focused yet technical function. Jim has built teams from the ground up for large Fortune 500 and small pre-ipo companies, with a focus on customer success, consulting sales and delivery, presales, product engineering and product management. He is our resident data analytics expert, and leverages a 20 year history in the space.
Personally, Jim enjoys the Disney parks experience with family and friends (we are convincing him to write a book on the subject), fishing, riding motorcycles in the desert, skiing, serving at the Church and supporting the disability communities.
Heather is the recruiting and delivery lead for WSG, responsible for resource alignment, project management, establishing sourcing and recruiting strategies for clients, TA ops, and recruitment coordination.
Heather has a extensive expertise in recruitment, sourcing, and operations. She has run recruiting delivery for Microsoft, Becton Dickinson, SAS, and TriNet in her career, and started in executive search with FPC. Heather is a subject matter expert in attracting passive talent, applying advanced sourcing best practices, translating recruiting concepts into practical application to support business goals, adhering to federal and state compliance to include OFCCP and other regulations. She also has lead implementations of multiple ATS Systems including Taleo, Workday, Successfactors, ICims, Avauture and SmartRecruiters.
Personally, Heather has a passion for animal welfare and adoption. At any given time she’ll have multiple rescue dogs, rabbits, and other wildlife sharing her home.
